Fang-Shu Li is an acclaimed jazz guitarist recognized for his technical precision and minimalist aesthetic. An award-winner at the YAMAHA Music Competition and NCCU Golden Melodies, he also secured third place at the 2016 Taichung Jazz Festival. After honing his craft at the Los Angeles College of Music (LACM), Li returned to become a staple of the Taipei jazz scene. His playing seamlessly blends restrained elegance with profound emotional depth.
Fang-Shu Li is a jazz guitarist who has earned recognition through several prestigious awards, including Best Guitarist at the YAMAHA Music Competition and the National Chengchi University (NCCU) Golden Melodies. In 2016, he achieved third place at the Taichung Jazz Festival Competition with the "Fang-Shu Li Trio" and was also an invited performer at the Taipei Jazz Festival. To further refine his technical mastery, Li traveled to the United States to study guitar performance at the Los Angeles College of Music (LACM). His playing style is characterized by a minimalist and restrained aesthetic, blending technical precision with natural emotional depth. A regular performer at venues such as Blue Note Taipei, he has participated in projects like the Plus One Trio and currently serves as a guitar instructor at the Soho Music Center.
