While studying under Tom Myer (prof. saxophone at the University of Colorado Boulder), he has developed his jazz concepts out of a classical setting and has learned not only the musical nuances involved in classical performance and practice, but also has been able to bring classical and traditional jazz styles together. Led by Chung Kai-Chieh, the Soul Heist Brass Band brings the authentic "soul" of New Orleans jazz to Taiwan.
