烏野薰 Kaoru Uno

Kaoru Uno is a distinguished Japanese jazz pianist whose artistry bridges classical precision with improvisational flair. Initially trained in classical piano, she immersed herself in jazz during university, later pursuing advanced studies in the U.S., including Berklee College of Music. Since establishing her base in Taiwan in 1997, Uno has become a pivotal figure in the local jazz landscape. She serves as a resident pianist for Blue Note Taipei and the Taipei Jazz Orchestra, also directing the Taipei Jazz Orchestra Youth Group. Her discography includes acclaimed albums like "The Jazz Piano Trio Creations," showcasing her profound command of the piano trio format and sophisticated arrangements. Uno's performances are marked by technical brilliance and heartfelt expression.
