A jazz student at National Dong Hwa University, Hsu Jui is a rising talent dedicated to exploring sound and aesthetic beauty through improvisation. Guided by mentors like Tsai Wen-hui and Fil Caporali, Hsu has developed a unique musical vocabulary that spans traditional and modern jazz, folk, and free improvisation. Active across Taiwan’s diverse performance spaces, Hsu continues to evolve within the landscape of contemporary improvisational music.
Hsu Jui is currently a student in the Jazz Division of the Department of Music at National Dong Hwa University. After being inspired by improvisational music during their studies, they embarked on an exploration of sound and aesthetic beauty. Having received guidance from renowned musicians including Tsai Wen-hui, Fil Caporali, Eric Thielemans, and Yamada Yohei, Hsu is gradually establishing a unique musical vocabulary within the evolving landscape of improvisational music. Their performance repertoire primarily spans traditional and modern jazz, folk, and free improvisation. Hsu Jui is active across various performance venues and non-traditional exhibition spaces throughout Taiwan.
