Bowen Li is a versatile jazz pianist, composer, and arranger active in Hong Kong and London. A Trinity Laban graduate, his musicality is deeply rooted in the tradition of Keith Jarrett’s Standards Trio, blending sophisticated arrangements with soulful improvisation. Known for his collaborations with top pianists like Joyce Cheung and his work with the Hong Kong Youth Jazz Collective, Li brings a refined, contemporary perspective to performance, composition, and film scoring.
Bowen Li (李梓禾) is a professional jazz pianist, composer, and arranger currently active in Hong Kong and London. A graduate of the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, Li has established a reputation for his sophisticated musicality and versatile arrangements. His artistic direction often draws inspiration from the form-defining work of Keith Jarrett’s Standards Trio, an influence evident in his straight-ahead trio performances. Notably, his big-hearted, vampy interpretation of "God Bless This Child" pays homage to Jarrett’s 1983 rendition. As a prominent figure in the contemporary scene, Li has performed alongside acclaimed pianists such as Joyce Cheung, Daniel Chu, and Patrick Lui. He is also a key member of the Hong Kong Youth Jazz Collective, contributing his expertise across performance, composition, and film scoring.
