Doris Lin (林冠良) is a professional drummer based in Taiwan, recognized for her rhythmic precision and versatile musicality. Her musical foundation was laid at age ten under her father's tutelage, followed by rigorous classical training and later jazz studies with Chi-pin Hsieh and Kai-ya Chang during her university years. Since graduating with a music degree, Lin has built a multifaceted career across jazz and pop, contributing extensively to studio recordings and soundtrack productions. Lin’s performance history spans major international stages and festivals, including the Taichung Jazz Festival, the National Theater & Concert Hall Jazz Festival, and Weiwuying’s "Spirit of the Great River" and "Motown & Boogaloo" series. Her international footprint includes performances in Taiwan, China, Italy, France, Mexico, and Canada, with frequent appearances at iconic venues such as Blue Note Taipei. Currently, she serves as the drummer for several distinguished ensembles, including the Formosa Mission Jazz Band, Sizhukong, San-Gou-Da-Hou-Sheng Band, Tang Chuan Jazz Orchestra, and the Su Sheng-yu Organ 3. Her artistry has earned significant industry acclaim, including the 31st Golden Melody Award for Best Instrumental Album for "Ciao Bella" and the 34th Golden Melody Award for Best Hakka Album for "Yán Fēng Yáo." In addition to her performance career, she is a faculty member in the Music Department at Shih Chien University, where she focuses on jazz drumming and music education.
