Originally from Venezuela and based in New York, Bam Rodríguez is a multi-dimensional musician spanning jazz, Latin, and classical genres. A member of Arturo O’Farrill’s Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra, he contributed to the 2022 Grammy-winning album "Fandango at the Wall in New York." Having performed with legends like Chucho Valdés and Wynton Marsalis at venues like Carnegie Hall, Rodríguez also leads innovative projects like "South by North East" and founded the global music education initiative "We Are Starting a School."

Originally from Venezuela and Aruba and currently based in Brooklyn, New York City, Bam Rodríguez is a multi-dimensional musician, bass player, synthesist, composer, and origami artist. His versatile work spans classical, jazz, Latin, and world music. Having started his musical journey in the prestigious "El Sistema" program, he has been a prominent figure in the New York City jazz and world music scene for over a decade as a performer, recording artist, and educator. Rodríguez is a member of Arturo O’Farrill’s Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra and contributed to the 2022 Grammy-winning album "Fandango at the Wall in New York" (Best Latin Jazz Album). He has shared the stage with legendary artists such as Chucho Valdés, Wynton Marsalis, and Joe Lovano, performing at iconic venues including Carnegie Hall, the North Sea Jazz Festival, and Taiwan's National Theater & Concert Hall. In 2024, he was invited as a special guest artist for the NTCH Summer Jazz Festival in Taiwan. Beyond his collaborative work, he leads personal projects like "South by North East," which integrates music and visual storytelling. He is also the founder of "We Are Starting a School," an initiative dedicated to providing music education to children worldwide. In Taiwan, his performances have also graced venues such as Sappho Live Jazz and WiJazz Records.
