方鏡興 Mirror Fang

Mirror Fang is a distinguished guitarist and a prominent figure in the Taiwanese jazz scene, recognized for his refined interpretations of classic jazz standards and popular repertoire. Known for his "mellow fine tones" and masterful musicianship, Fang frequently performs at prestigious venues such as Blue Note Taipei. He leads the Mirror Fang Trio, which has featured acclaimed musicians like trumpet master Cheng Wen Feng, delivering sophisticated and timeless melodies. Additionally, he helms the Mirror Jazz Guitar Quartet—featuring Li Wei-Hsin on saxophone, Hou Chin Lin on bass, and Jeffrey Lin on drums—which maintains a regular residency at Blue Note Taipei every first Thursday of the month. Beyond his own projects, Fang is a key member of the Yichun Teng Quartet, collaborating with trombonist Yichun Teng, bassist Hou Chin Lin, and drummer Liao Yu Hsuan to perform both original compositions and jazz standards. His performances consistently offer audiences a blend of relaxed elegance and technical precision, solidifying his reputation as a respected artist in contemporary jazz.
