鄭孟峰
Cheng Meng-Feng is a versatile jazz drummer and a graduate of National Dong Hwa University. Trained under Hsieh Yi-lin and Lin Wei-chung, he founded the Beningging Jazz Quintet and NewBrothers Jazz Quartet. His career spans jazz performance and Mandopop collaborations with artists like Queen Wei and Xiao Yu. A 2019 Golden Melody Award nominee for Best Band, Cheng seamlessly blends indie rock energy with jazz sophistication, making him a prominent figure in Taiwan's contemporary music scene.
Cheng Meng-Feng is a professional jazz drummer who graduated from the Jazz Department of the Music Department at National Dong Hwa University. He studied under the guidance of Hsieh Yi-lin and Lin Wei-chung. His journey into jazz began in high school after a chance encounter with the genre, leading him to pursue formal studies in university. During his academic years, he founded the Beningging Jazz Quintet and the NewBrothers Jazz Quartet, performing extensively across Northern and Southern Taiwan in various prominent venues. Beyond his specialization in jazz performance, Cheng demonstrated his versatility during high school by winning the Taitung Tiehua Village Band Competition and the Coffee Plaza Indie Rock Competition. He has also been active in the pop music industry, contributing to recording productions and concert performances for renowned Mandopop artists such as Queen Wei, Hsieh Yu-wei, and Xiao Yu. His recent accolades include being a nominee for Best Band at the 2019 Golden Melody Awards and a finalist in the Taichung Jazz Festival Competition.
