Seo Takashi
Born in Sapporo in 1979, Takashi Seo is a prominent bassist in Tokyo's jazz scene, known for his work with the Fumio Itabashi Trio and the group Big Foot. A multi-talented artist and accomplished photographer, Seo reached a career milestone performing at the White House for International Jazz Day 2016. His artistry, blending technical mastery with a message of peace, is beautifully captured in his album "Love Makes the Earth Float."
Born in Sapporo in 1979, Takashi Seo is recognized as one of the most active and in-demand bass players on the Tokyo jazz scene. He performs regularly with the Fumio Itabashi Trio (FIT) and Orchestra, as well as the group Big Foot alongside Akira Sakata, Darren Moore, and Yong Yandsen. Beyond his musical prowess, Seo is a multi-talented artist known as an accomplished photographer with six published picture books. In 2005, he served as the Executive Producer for a Japanese Government Exhibition Project, using music to advocate for "World Peace." A significant career highlight includes performing at the White House for International Jazz Day 2016, an event hosted by the President and First Lady of the United States. His discography includes the 2008 album "Love Makes the Earth Float." He has performed at venues such as Sappho Live Jazz.
