Grace Weng is a distinguished jazz pianist known for her captivating performances and elegant, mellow jazz finetones. A prominent figure on the Asian jazz scene, she has graced prestigious venues like Blue Note Taipei and expanded her artistry to Japan.

Grace Weng (翁家怡) is a distinguished jazz pianist and harmonica player celebrated for her elegant interpretations and sophisticated, layered sound. Based between Taiwan and Japan, Weng is a prominent figure in the Asian jazz scene, frequently performing at prestigious venues such as Blue Note Taipei and appearing as a featured artist at the Taichung Jazz Festival. Her musical foundation was built under the mentorship of masters Giampiero Locatelli and Paolo Passalacqua, and she continues her studies under the guidance of Oscar Del Barba. Weng’s versatility is evident across various ensemble formats. She frequently performs in a piano duo with bassist Liu YuChi and leads or participates in quartets featuring saxophonist Chang KunTer, bassist Hou Chin Lin, and drummer Brandy Wu. Beyond her piano artistry, she has achieved significant acclaim as a harmonica player. In 2017, she contributed to the harmonica soundtrack of the award-winning film "The Great Buddha+" and collaborated with the Grammy-winning Taiwu Ancient Ballads Troupe for the "Rainy Seeds" (細雨灑落群山) tour. Her debut jazz harmonica album, "Blue Bear," was released in late 2017, followed by a world tour in 2018. In recent years, Weng has expanded her professional scope to her home country of Japan. Residing in Tokyo, she serves as a planner, host, and director for the online music program "Sound States," where she integrates her musical expertise with digital media production. She continues to captivate audiences with her refined keyboard technique and multifaceted artistic practice.
