Ted Lo is a highly respected Hong Kong-born jazz pianist and keyboardist, widely recognized as the "godfather of jazz" in his home city. His musical journey began in Hong Kong, where he grew up listening to Frank Sinatra, before moving to the United States to study at the Berklee College of Music. During the 1970s, while living in Los Angeles, he was a member of prominent bands led by Raul de Souza and Airto Moreira. Lo later established a significant presence in the New York jazz scene, performing at many of the city's most prestigious music venues and meeting his musical heroes. Since returning to Hong Kong, he has been a pivotal figure in developing the local jazz scene through innovative performances and cross-genre collaborations, such as his work with the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra on projects like "Romancing the Jazz."
