Teriver Cheung
Teriver Cheung is a prominent Hong Kong-born jazz guitarist and composer with an international reputation. After developing his craft in New York, he returned to curate major projects like "Hong Kong Episode" and founded Ensemble Transcience. A collaborator with legends like Eddie Gómez and a member of the band R.O.O.T, Cheung is celebrated for his musical depth and his mastery of the intimate guitar duo format, balancing melody and rhythm with exceptional sensitivity.
Teriver Cheung is one of the few Hong Kong-born jazz guitarists and composers who have established an international career. Having developed his craft in New York for many years, he returned to Hong Kong to curate a number of major musical projects, including the well-received multimedia concert "Hong Kong Episode", and founded the Ensemble Transcience, which actively explores collaborations between jazz and classical musicians. He has collaborated with Grammy Award winners such as Eddie Gómez and Eric Marienthal, and serves as the guitarist of the band R.O.O.T.
