Weichung Lin is a pivotal drummer in Taiwan's jazz scene and an alumnus of Berklee College of Music. A dedicated endorser for Canopus drums and Regal Tip brushes, Lin is celebrated for his rhythmic precision and versatility. He frequently collaborates with top-tier artists like Yu-Ying Hsu and Ying-Da Chen. From Trio Da-Mo to acclaimed recordings, his presence at venues like Sappho Live Jazz solidifies his status as a cornerstone of contemporary Taiwanese jazz.
Weichung Lin is a prominent drummer and a key figure in Taiwan’s jazz music community. An alumnus of the Berklee College of Music in the United States, he studied under esteemed masters including Jon Hazilla, John Ramsay, and Jamey Haddad. Lin is currently a recognized endorser for Canopus drums (Taiwan) and Regal Tip brushes. His extensive performance and recording career includes collaborations with notable artists such as Golden Melody Award-winning pianist Yu-Ying Hsu, guitarist Ying-Da Chen, saxophonist Minyen Hsieh, and bassist Ikeda Kinya. He is a member of Trio Da-Mo and has contributed to diverse projects including NoMads Factory's album "Elefant On A Pink Leaflet" and Ying-Da Chen's 2025 release "Live Without Irony." A regular performer at venues like Sappho Live Jazz, Lin has also participated in high-profile events such as the "Swing in the NTU Library" concert series.
