Teriver Cheung is a prominent Hong Kong-born jazz guitarist and composer based in New York City. Known for his international presence, he founded Ensemble Transience and the Drip Music label, while also performing with the band R.O.O.T. Cheung has collaborated with legends like Eddie Gomez and Jean-Michel Pilc, performing at major global festivals. His sophisticated artistry continues to bridge cultures, leading talented ensembles from the Greater Bay Area to renowned jazz venues worldwide.

Teriver Cheung is one of the most exciting upcoming jazz guitarists and composers of his generation. Originally from Hong Kong and currently based in New York City, he holds a degree in jazz performance and has developed a significant career on the international stage. Cheung is the founder of Ensemble Transience and the music label Drip Music, and is also a member of the independent band R.O.O.T. He has toured and performed extensively at major jazz festivals, collaborating with renowned artists such as Latin Grammy Award-winning bassist Eddie Gomez, Billy Drummond, and Jean-Michel Pilc. Recognized as one of the few Hong Kong jazz musicians to establish an international presence, he continues to lead groups of talented musicians in performances ranging from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Culture and Arts Festival to venues like CODA Jazz Kissa.
