Yohei Yamada is a Berklee-trained bassist active in the jazz scenes of Taiwan and Japan. Specializing in both electric and double bass, he studied under masters like Anthony Vitti and Joe Santerre. Known for his solid technique and international collaborations, Yamada frequently performs at venues like Sappho Live Jazz and major events such as the 2024 Jazz Bass Festival, bridging cultures through his versatile musicianship.
Yohei Yamada is a Japanese electric and double bass player who graduated from the Berklee College of Music, majoring in Bass Performance. During his studies, he was mentored by renowned musicians including Anthony Vitti, Joe Santerre, and Barry Smith. Prior to his time in the United States, he also studied with Minoru Yamazaki in Gunma, Japan. Currently an active figure in the jazz music scenes of both Taiwan and Japan, Yamada has performed at venues such as Sappho Live Jazz and participated in major events like the 2024 Jazz Bass Festival, collaborating with top-tier international musicians from Taiwan and Belgium.
