Sappho Live Jazz
Sappho Live Jazz is one of Taipei most iconic jazz venues, established in 2005 and located in the basement of Linsen North Road in Zhongshan District. Descending the stairs, dim lighting and purple-hued ambiance transport you straight to a New York underground jazz club. Open five nights a week (Tuesday through Saturday), Sappho hosts everything from professional jazz ensembles to open jam sessions, and frequently attracts international jazz masters dropping by unannounced. Beyond the music, Sappho serves food and drinks, making it an essential destination for jazz lovers in Taipei.
