Vincent Choy is an Australian-based guitarist who discovered his passion for jazz after moving to Perth at a young age. Influenced by the vast landscapes of Western Australia, Choy’s music blends narrative storytelling with sophisticated technique. A frequent performer in Hong Kong’s 'Live at Jim Hall' series, he collaborates with top-tier musicians to create immersive listening experiences that reflect his unique journey of cultural exchange and artistic growth.
Vincent Choy is an Australian-based guitarist who moved to Perth at a young age to pursue his musical dreams. During his time in Australia, he met several mentors who introduced him to the world of jazz. Now a skilled musician, Choy occasionally returns to Hong Kong to perform with fellow artists, bringing the atmosphere of Perth's landscapes to the stage. He has performed at Fountain de Chopin (翻騰三周半) as part of the 'Live at Jim Hall' series, a program designed to provide high-quality listening experiences for both musicians and audiences. One of his notable performances, titled 'Searching for Stories in a Foreign Land: Are there piano shops in Perth?', featured a lineup including Jonas Cho (Saxophone), Bowen Li (Piano), Nelson Fung (Bass), and Dean Li (Drums).
